I’m a freelance WordPress developer with 20+ years of web development experience, working independently since 2010. I build websites, develop custom functionality and provide ongoing support for businesses and agencies in Yorkshire and across the UK.
WordPress website builds
I build new WordPress websites and rebuild existing ones around your content, designs and the way you need to manage the site. Recent builds include Parma Ham and Seeded Digital.
Custom WordPress development
When a standard plugin does not fit the brief, I can build custom functionality. My work includes Ecology’s mortgage calculators, bespoke plugins and API integrations.
Design to WordPress
Have a design ready to build? I work with designers and agencies to turn supplied designs into WordPress websites, bringing practical development advice throughout the build.

UX & responsive design
I work with designers to help turn a brief into a usable website across desktop, tablet and mobile. If your project needs design input as well as development, we can discuss that at the start.
JavaScript development
I develop interactive website features using JavaScript, including interfaces that update without a full page reload. This can form part of a WordPress build or a separate development brief.
PHP, MySQL & hosting
My background includes bespoke PHP and MySQL development. I can also advise on WordPress hosting, or help with an existing custom site that needs further development.
